Klipeasy is a small robust clip with a strong spring mechanism. It is both washing machine and tumble dryer safe, has a flat head to prevent it damaging anything you clip and can easily be hung from a suction cup or small nail.
My review of Klipeasy
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received my Klipeasy pack, after all, clothes pegs haven’t had a re-design for half a century for good reason and I wasn’t convinced they needed one now. However, Klipeasy is more than just a clothes peg.
Klipeasy clips seem to be a hybrid, mixing the most useful functions of clothes pegs, bulldog clips and food clips. Although they are surprisingly small, they are easily as strong as a bulldog clip, while also being designed not to damage fabric in the same way as a clothes peg, and being as useful around the house as a food clip. As a result, the uses for these little clips are endless!
Originally Klipeasy was designed for one purpose, to clip pairs of socks together and thwart the evil that lurks in the tumble dryer stealing one sock in every pair. While thwarting monsters is no small feat, Klipeasy can also be used the more obvious purpose of hanging out laundry, they’re also strong enough to clip clothes on a hanger into the washing line to prevent them blowing off and depositing your newly cleaned clothes into the dirt, and if you have delicate items to wash you can put them in a pillowcase and clip it shut, protecting them from being mauled by Velcro bib fasteners and pocket shrapnel. I’m sure their are countless other laundry related ways you can use Klipeasy, but as I have discussed previously, laundry is not my strong suit.
Crafts however are one of my favorite pass times and this is an area where Klipeasy has a multitude of uses. Because they are so small and strong they are perfect for most crafts that require you to hold something in place. The flat head also means that whether you’re clamping fabric, card or balsa wood, you are unlikely to end up with marks on your finished product. The most obvious use for Klipeasy in crafts is holding items you are gluing together until the stick fast and it has to be said that these little clips do this very well due to how strong they are. Another, less obvious use in craft is holding fabrics for stitching. If you are sewing with several layers of fabric they can slip and move as you pin them. Using clips is an excellent way to solve this. Some other materials such as leather can’t be pinned at all as the pins could cause visible marks on the finished garment, but again, these little clips solve this problem with ease. I love Klipeasy as a craft aid so much that most of my clips will be finding their way into my craft box.
Around the house Klipeasy clips can make themselves useful in nearly every room. They can seal food bags, tidy cables, sort papers in your office, and hang everything from calendars and notes to towels. You can even use them to hang fairy lights in your garden!
I’ve been surprisingly impressed by Klipeasy. The owners set out to invent the only clip you will ever need and I think they have come as close to doing so as a single product could. Klipeasy are currently running a Kickstarter campaign. If you would like to be among the first to get their hands on them head over to Klipeasy at Kickstarter.
