Review: My Memories Baby & Toddler Cards

Review: My Memories baby and toddler cards

Baby cards have experienced a surge of popularity in recent years, with parents everywhere proudly posting pictures of their baby next to brightly coloured cards emblazoned with declarations such as “1 month old” or “Babys first tooth”. But with so many baby card packs out there, the question is why would you choose My Memories cards?

About My Memories Cards

There’s no denying that My Memories cards are well designed and packaged. Each set of 30 cards comes in its own keepsake box with a magnetically sealed lid. This is a lovely touch as it means that you will be able to keep your cards safe as a future keepsake. The box is also much better than a traditional sleeve type box, which can become tatty with use.

The cards themselves are printed on good quality card stick with attractive illustrations on one side and room to write a few words about the occasion on the reverse.

About the baby cards

The My Memories baby cards are designed with simple pastel coloured illustrations, in keeping with the style of many other baby products. The events covered include:

  • Welcome to the world;
  • Milestone dates;
  • First Christmas;
  • Said Mama/Dada;
  • Fist smile;
  • And, first birthday;

About the toddler cards

It’s worth noting that the Making Memories toddler cards are the first set I’ve come across and I think they’re a fantastic idea as it allows you to continue the tradition of marking special achievements, seamlessly. These cards are much more colourful than the baby cards which is perfect for their toddler audience who tend to be magpies when it comes to anything brightly coloured. They definitely appealed to my toddler who was determined to disrupt my attempts to photograph the cards.

The toddler cards feature milestones which are likely to happen between the age of 1 and 4, including:

  • Counting to 10;
  • Learning to dance;
  • Riding a bike;
  • First day at school;
  • Eating with utensils;
  • And, writing their name.

Either of these card sets would make a lovely gift and/or keepsake. The cards themselves are made from strong card which will not be easily destroyed by your little one while you’re attempting to take a photo. The keepsake boxes are very strong and will not become tatty with use in the same way traditional card boxes would.

At just £9.99 each from My Memories I believe that they are very good value for money and well worth a look if you want to keep a photo diary of your baby’s milestones.
