Costa Coffee – In Hot Water – The Final Chapter!

Costa Coffee in Hot Water

Costa Logo

This is the final post regarding my experience of Costa Coffee and their head offices inability to get the message across to their stores that staff are allowed to provide hot water to mums wanting to warm their baby’s milk.

There are still a lot of branches of Costa where staff have not been made aware of the company policy, however I hope that this is about to change. The local Swindon newspaper, The Swindon Evening Advertiser, has run an article today based on this blog and featuring a quite awful photo of yours truly.

I have to admit to being very proud that a story of mine has been picked up in such a way, and quite relieved that I don’t come across as a nutcase!

If you would like to read the article you can pick up a copy of the Swindon Advertiser today or visit their website HERE.

    1. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Gareth.

It’s nice to know that so many people have taken time out of their busy lives to comment on how unreasonable I am.

But seriously, I knew when I took up blogging that not everyone would be complimentary about my articles or my point of view. As a blogger you have to be relatively thick skinned. My family and friends are supportive and proud of me and they are the people who matter.

  1. I saw your article on angry people in local newspapers and I just want to say sorry there are such horrible people out there.
It made me quite angry to see people attacking you for something that was not your fault as the water should have been given to you.
On Facebook I am part of a pregnancy group that takes the motto “feed is best” as no one has a right to judge how you feed your baby. So keep doing what you’re doing and I wish you the best 🙂

    1. Hi Hazzy,
Thank you so much for taking the time to pop by and comment.
It is a very sad fact that the world is full of people who are happy to be cruel when there are no consequences. But there are also many, many lovely people out there, like yourself, who go out of their way to show kindness even when they have nothing to gain from it. I know which sort of person I would rather concern myself with.
I do love your pregnancy group motto and couldn’t agree more!
      All the best x
