Frugal February Money Saving Challenge Conclusion

Frugal February Money Saving Challenge

Frugal February went by in a flash but it made a real difference to our household finances. As my mid month update was so late not much has changed but here is a recap of how things went. My first challenge was to look over the house hold bills to see where we could trim the fat. I found two small bills at £14.99 and £12.79 which we could get by without which meant a monthly saving of £27.78 and a saving of £277.80 over the course of the rest of 2017. The next item of business was the shopping. […]

The Sunshine Blogger Award

The Sunshine Blogger Award

So, I’ve somehow managed to get myself tagged in another blogger interview tag. This time the culprit is the the lovely Musings of a Mother who has passed me the Sunshine Blogger Award. I admit, I do enjoy a good blogger interview tag, on the whole they’re usually fun to write and I also love to read the responses the people I tag give and learn a little more about who they are. So, without further ado, here are my answers to the Sunshine Blogger Award. Tell me about a ‘trendy’ parenting thing that gets on your nerves. Go on. […]

Frugal February Money Saving Challenge

Read the original Frugal February Post This month I’ve been taking part in Frugal February, the idea being to save and make as much money as possible during the month, now that Christmas and January are out of the way. The month is far from over but I wanted to share a quick update on how I’ve done so far. So far I’ve saved approximately £30 per month by economising on monthly bills and cancelling services I no longer need. I still have some bills to look at but those will require more thought and investigation. This will save me […]

Looking back at 6 months with Grumpy Baby

A look back at 6 months with Grumpy Baby

So, it’s been 6 months since a small, damp Grumpy Baby was unceremoniously dumped onto my chest, where she lay looking rather confused. In those first few hours I think it’s fair to say that I was also confused most of the time, confused and scared. I had no real clue how to feed, burp or change her and I was scared of hurting her when I changed her clothes. I had to beg the night staff at the hospital to show me how to do everything and I was constantly worried that she was spitting up too much, sleeping […]
